Cowboy Boot Rainboots are basically a rainboots that are based on traditional cowboy boots. Cowboy boots generally have a pointed toe, a 1-2 inch heel, no lacing and a shaft that is exceptionally high. Cowboy boots were originally produced by cowboys to help them when riding horses. The pointed toe and smooth sole meant the boot could easily slide into the stirrup, while the high heel would keep the boot in the stirrup. This was a strong and durable material which certainly suited the task in hand. The original cowboy boots would have been incredibly difficult and uncomfortable to walk in, simply because they were designed for riding. These boots were considered to be a Western style boot. Since then, manufacturers have worked on producing a Roper style boot. This is much comfier as it has a lower heel which usually less than one inch along with more rounded toe areas.
